Guest Membership

When you know that you or a covered member of your family will be out of the area for at least 90 days, you can apply for a guest membership with a participating HMO/POS plan in your travel area, where available. The Away from Home Care® program offers a comprehensive set of HMO/POS benefits through a participating plan while away from home.

  • Refer to this Guest Membership flyer for additional information.
  • At least 30 days prior to leaving the service area, complete a Guest Membership application.
  • If you login to the member portal at ibx.com first, and then go to the form, the form will pre-populate with your information. To do so, please follow these steps:
    1. Login to the member portal at ibx.com
    2. From the Dashboard, go to Tools and Resources, then click Resource Center
    3. In the left column, check the Category Enrollment
    4. Under Application, select Electronic Guest Membership Application
  • Receive text messages with updates while your application is being processed when you are wired or connected with IBX.
