Alexandra JorgensenSenior Vice President, Human Resources

Alexandra Jorgensen is senior vice president of Human Resources for Independence Blue Cross (IBX). In this role, Ms. Jorgensen helps the organization attract and develop talent; foster an inclusive, equitable work environment and a culture of engagement and innovation; and prepare for the evolving workplace of the future.

Ms. Jorgensen joined IBX in 2024. She has 25 years of experience in human resources, and has worked exclusively in health care organizations for nearly two decades.

Previously, she served as as vice president of Talent Acquisition at the University of Pennsylvania Health System. Prior to that, Ms. Jorgensen was chief human resources officer and organizational effectiveness officer for Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health and chief human resources officer for the University of Miami’s UHealth System and Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. Earlier in her career, she worked for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as the human resources health system director.

Ms. Jorgensen has been active in the nonprofit arena throughout her career. She currently serves on the board of Pennsylvania College of Health Sciences.

Ms. Jorgensen received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ursinus College.
